ABOUT COMPANY
Sukraft Group recently floated a (i.e. 5th) legal entity, viz. Sunmarc Paper Industry Private Limited (“SPIPL”)(formerly known as Sukraft Paper Tech Private Limited) with an intention to take over the paper division of Murli Industries Limited (“MIL”).
Pursuant to an order passed by the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai (“NCLT”), the corporate insolvency resolution process of MIL was initiated in FY 2015-2016. Under the process, the resolution plans submitted by Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited(‘DCBL’) were approved by the Hon’ble NCLT. Following this, an inter-alia scheme of arrangement and amalgamation was executed between MIL, DCBL, and Ascension Mercantile Private Limited (“AMPL”) whereby the paper business of MIL was demerged to AMPL.
The Group has been involved in the Paper Industry since 1996 and is versed with the manufacturing, marketing, and requisite management functions.

Sukraft Group comprising multiple legal entities (tabulated below) has been in existence since the year 1996. Sukraft Group has grown to become India’s largest manufacturer of Kraft Paper and has a customer base across the globe. A brief about the company’s manufacturing and consolidated financial details are tabulated below:

The group has in the past acquired sick paper mills and had successfully revived those units. In the year 2005-06, the group acquired M/s Amerald Paper at MIDC-Malegaon, Sinner which was closed for 7 years is name is now changed to Swastik Pulp & Paper Private Limited. The unit had a capacity of 70 tons per day at the time of acquisition which is now enhanced to 175 Tons per day. Further, in the year 2015-16, the group acquired M/s Raj Rajeshwari Peptech again at MIDC-Malegaon, Sinner whose name is now changed to Sukraft Papers Private Limited. The unit had a capacity of 50 tons per day at the time of acquisition which is now enhanced to 160 Tons per day. Both these acquisitions were made by SICOM Limited.

No variation in GSM:

Sunmarc products have high elasticity and high tear resistance, designed for packaging products with high demands for strength and durability. Premium quality fiber usage- Excellent quality fibers are used during the process to produce quality paper. We optimize our processes, evaluate alternate fibrous raw materials, and identify functional additives for product development and improvement of the process and quality. We are also involved in expanding the farm forestry program to secure fiber supply.
COBB value and GSM:
Sunmarc papers are durable and special care has been taken to minimise the loss of strength due to high humidity. Our Kraft papers have a constant COBB value. Our Kraft papers range from an appreciable 240 GSM and 24 BF.
Complete eco-friendly and modernized plants:
Our pressure energy efficient power plant unit effectively reduces coal consumption and consequently, the company’s carbon footprint. We have exemplary compliance towards environmental considerations by way of treatment of wastewater, atmospheric emission, etc. Sunmarc’s solid waste recycling program helps in the creation of a clean and green environment through awareness and education of citizens on source segregation and recycling of dry waste.
